Way too often I see other developers complaining about stuff they actually could change themselves and a shocking lack of responsibility.
In my talk I share my frustration and offer guidance on becoming an empowered software developer.
Shitty codebase?
Improve it with every new feature and fix! Unrealistic deadlines? Do not accept them, request priorities and offer alternatives by minimizing scope and building MVPs.
Stupid requirements?
Go find your customers and find out what they really want. So don't complain anymore, empower yourself and make more awesome!
What will the audience learn from this talk?
You will learn about typical complaints of developers, what they really mean and what developers can do about them in a self-empowered way and without asking for permission.
Does it feature code examples and/or live coding?
No.
